Mastering the Voice QSO with Larkfield ARC!
At our October club meeting, LARC member Steve Hines (N2PQJ) presented an insightful workshop for amateur radio operators: “Let’s Make a Voice QSO: Hints, Tips and Tricks for FM and HF”.
The session walked members and guests through the foundational rhythm of making a successful radio contact—focusing on preparation, active listening, clear exchanges using standard phonetics, proper repeater etiquette, and accurate logging in UTC.
Whether operating locally on 2-meter repeaters or reaching out across HF simplex channels, good operating habits ensure every conversation is clear, courteous, and fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and via Zoom!
